If you copied and pasted your data in, go to the end of the line of characters (press End on your keyboard) and press the left arrow. If you do have one of these characters at the end of the line, the cursor won't appear to have moved; sometimes, extra characters can get copied in that don't show up.
If this is the case, make sure you go to the end of the line again (press End on your keyboard), press backspace just once (if there is a special character there, it won't look like anything happened) and try to log in again.
