Starting in January 2026, you can now use Chimpegration to add/update Code Table (dropdown)-based merge fields in Mailchimp and have those Code Table (dropdown)-based merge fields be added/updated to a relevant field in Raiser's Edge
Using either a Mailchimp Data Update process or a Raiser's Edge Data Update process you can add/update a code table (dropdown)-based value to Raiser's Edge or Mailchimp. To do this, run either of the process mentioned and when you get the Field Mapping step, be sure to map a dropdown-based Merge Field in Mailchimp to the appropriate Code Table-based field in Raiser's Edge.
Important: The values in the Mailchimp Dropdown List need to match the values within the Raiser's Edge Code Table exactly! Both systems are case and character sensitive, so if the values are missing or do not match exactly, an exception will be created. For example, if the Mailchimp Dropdown value is 'Newsletter', but the corresponding Code Table in Raiser's Edge is 'newsletter', an exception will be created.
When running a Mailchimp Data Update process, please consider which NXT source you are going to use. Some Code Table fields are included as part of standard fields included in Constituent Lists, but they are limited. You will more likely going to need to use a Query to get the right output/field select you need. With this in mind, you will need to have included any relevant Code Table-based fields as an output fields with the Query you are using.
