For Record Lookups in Importacular NXT, we introduced Organisation Name Equivalents. These allow Importacular NXT to consider matching on the Organisation Name in the data source to the Organisation Name in RE when there are common abbreviations, such as LTD instead of Limited. They also allow for some variation in when punctuation is involved, such as "plc." instead of "plc".
Additionally, it can also take into consideration common string variations like 'University of Edinburgh' instead of 'The University of Edinburgh'.
However, there are some limitations. It will struggle to find a match when there is an apostrophe or a comma on a non-comment word. For example 'St Mary's High School' verses 'St Marys High School' or 'Betty's Muffins, Inc.' verses 'Betty's Muffins Inc.' In this scenario, we recommend that such variations should be recorded as an Alias in the RE Record and you create a Matching Rule within your Record Lookup to match on Alias.
Please note: All Matching Rules are not case sensitive, so Importacular will find a match on value no matter if the value is uppercase, lower case or proper case.
