If the exception contains this message ("Reported error is: Month must be between one and twelve"), check the format of the incoming date. It will need to be formatted as "MM/dd/yyyy" or "dd/MM/yyyy". To accomplish this, you may need to transform the date within the field settings of the affected field. See example below:
