In the Raiser's Edge 7, the "membership gift from" fields look like this:
This allows you to indicate that the Membership was gifted to a constituent and links to the other constituent.
This can be done in Importacular, but it does require the use of a data destination that will allow you to map a second constituent to your template (this could be done with one of the following: Individual Relationships, Organisation Relationships, Tributes or Solicitor/Canvasser).
You will find these mapping fields under the Membership Mappings button:
In the screen below, the fields for "Membership Gift from" have been indicated.
Given By - allows you to link to a mapping for a constituent mapped in your template.
Special Message - maps your special message connected to the gift.
