While you can set your primary Constituent mapping in your Importacular template to create an Individual, Organisation or a combination of the two, when you would like to add relationships, you will need to consider the functionality of the Individual Relationships data destination as well as the Organisation Relationships data destination.  To see a video walk through of the differences, click here.

A few examples:

Individual Relationships

  • Connecting family members such as parent to child, spouses, siblings, etc.
  • If your primary constituent is an Organisation, you can add employee/contact records via the Individual Relationships data destination.

Organisation Relationships

  • Linking two organisations (such as affiliated businesses, organisations, etc.)
  • If your primary record is an Individual, you can add employer records via the Organisation Relationship data destination.
