Below is a list of the different Activity Types that are available for the EveryAction Data Source (the hyperlinks for each Activity Type will direct you to a video tutorial of that specific type). You can watch an overview video of the EveryAction Data Source Activity Types here.
Contact History - This activity type allows you to add records of contacts made to your EveryAction Contacts to their Raiser's Edge account. While we show this with the paid data destination for Actions, you can opt to import this data to other areas in the Raiser's Edge if you prefer. Should you wish to track who performed the action, you will need to link their Contacted By ID from EveryAction to their Raiser's Edge Solicitor account using Data Transformations (see this knowledge base article for more information).
Contacts - This activity type allows you to update Raiser's Edge with contact information. It contains more contact data that any other activity type, so you will find data here that is not available in other activity types. We strongly recommend following these guidelines for mapping the VanID to aid in constituent matching.
Contacts Activist Codes - This activity type allow you to pull activist code information as well as committee information for your contacts.
Contacts Survey Responses - This activity type allows you to add survey responses to the Raiser's Edge. Each Survey Response and Question will generate a separate row in the review screen, so you may see the same EveryAction contact name listed more than once. Users who wish to add these connected to an Action or an Action Attribute will need to purchase that data destination.
Contributions - This activity type allows you to import both one time donations as well as Recurring Gift Payments. When used in conjunction with the Pledge/Recurring Gift payment data destination, it also allows you to link those payments to the respective Recurring Gift. Otherwise, they can be imported as Cash or One-Time gifts. We strongly recommend following these guidelines for gift entry to avoid duplication of gifts in the Raiser's Edge.
Recurring Contributions - This activity type allows you to map Recurring Gifts (not the payments, but the schedule and the record of the commitment). For organisations making use of this Activity Type with our Recurring Gift Payment data destination, the field for "Contacts Recurring Contribution ID" in the Recurring Contributions is called the "Commitment ID" when using the Contributions Activity Type to process the payments. For organisations using the created date to set the schedule, please see this knowledgebase article for more information. For additional help with Recurring Gift payments, please see this Knowledgebase article.
All areas include constituent data that relates to the record(s) connected to the activity. This includes name, contact information, etc. To see recommendations regarding storing Constituent IDs and VanIDs, please see this knowledgebase article.
For more information regarding the functionality to Export data out of the Raiser's Edge and into EveryAction (and to see a demo of the functionality), please see this section of the Importacular User Guide.
