Should you see an exception containing this language, ""Error reported from RE on saving the record from the area map "Mapping Name". The reported error was: Required Field Missing: "XYZ"", you should check your template to ensure that you have mapped all fields required for that area of the Raiser's Edge. Please note that you will have to map all fields required to the Raiser's Edge by Blackbaud as well as any fields that your organisation has set to be required in the RE Configuration.
In addition to the fields connected to a mapping area, you should also ensure that all required secondary fields (such as a Constituent Code, any applicable Attributes, etc.) have been satisfied as well.
