There are times when a Solicitor/Canvasser should be assigned, but there isn't enough information in the data source (File, MobileCause, Classy, etc.) to reflect what Raiser's Edge account belongs to that Solicitor. For example, if all gifts made via the Annual Fund Page are assigned to David Zeidman, we need a way to link those gifts to David.
One way to do this is to use Data Transformations in conjunction with the Constituent ID field and Last Name/Surname as well as fields such as the First Name. (You may also need to set Default Values for other required fields.) In the screenshot below, you can see the Designation field used for the First Name, Constituent ID and the Last Name/Surname. For each, the Data Transformation links to the Solicitor's record in the Raiser's Edge. You can watch a video tutorial of this via this link.
Please note that, in order for this to work, you will need to ensure that the Constituent ID is a matching option in your Criteria Sets.
