After you have linked your data source, selected (and reviewed/changed as necessary) your template, created the location for your Control Report and are ready to proceed to the Review Screen, you can easily check the box to create a static query of all records that are added and/or changed in this import (this is checked in the screenshot below).
When you click import from the Review Screen, you will be prompted to give your static query a name.
