When working with Criteria Sets to determine whether or not a constituent (or relationship) record exists in the Raiser's Edge while you're importing with Importacular, you may notice the option to include "first name equivalents".
When you check this box, you will enable that Criteria Set to search Raiser's Edge not only for the actual first name, but also for the known nicknames (for example: William, Will, Bill, etc.).
We do provide a dictionary of known nicknames, but you can also edit these entries to meet your needs.
First name equivalents can be accessed on the data source selection screen under the dropdown for Criteria Sets.
You can also access the Address Equivalents in the Advanced section of the About Importacular screen (shown below).
When you access the dictionary, you can see what entries are linked together. Below is an example for the name William.
