In version 4.9.0.1, some users with limited Raiser's Edge security rights have experienced exceptions that indicate that they do not have the rights to import to Batch (but they were able to do so in previous versions).  In those cases, it is due to the changes in how gifts are added to the Batch.


One setting change that we have found to help is under Personal Information and is labeled "Personal Information Data Entry" (shown below):



In order for gifts to be added to batch (until the next patch) users need the "Personal Information Data Entry" security right. Without it you do not have access to the payment "credit card" and all the fields around that. If you have mapped one of those fields e.g. authorisation number or expiry date, and you don't have that security right, then you will get an error in the control report like "You do not have security access rights to modify this field.".
