If you need to work with a File (.csv or Excel) based version of a template linked to a Data Source (such as Classy, Qgiv or MobileCause), you can do that through Importacular's Manager Template functionality.
To access that functionality, go to Help and then select About Importacular:
In the Bottom left hand corner of the screen, click on Advanced.
Then, select Manage Templates.
Next, on the screen with all of your templates, you'll select the template that you need to copy and then click Clone for File.
This will create a copy of your template that can be used with a File (such as the Exceptions tab of your Control Report).
