In Raiser's Edge, spouse records can be set up to create automatic soft credits whenever a gift is created.  A bug was discovered in Blackbaud's API where the value of the Gift is Soft Credited to the spouse at $0 or the Soft Credit isn't created at all. This isn't across all of Blackbaud's servers, just certain COLO sites. Azure and self-hosted servers seem unaffected.


Since this happens outside of Importacular, there is very little Zeidman Development can do. Blackbaud are aware of the issue but as of yet, no fix is available.


The only know workarounds are:

  1. Option  1- Open each individual row while in batch with the ‘Soft-credit window button’   (manual & very tedious)
  2. Option 2 - Query all gifts of constituents having a spouse with a $0 soft-credit and re-import the soft-credit using Blackbaud’s native import.
