When a file is imported, but no gifts have been created and the gift batch is empty (or the gift batch contains fewer gifts than anticipated), but there are no exceptions, check the area settings on your gift mapping.

First, if you are validating, make sure that you have linked a validation account.  For more information, see this Knowledgebase article.

Second, ensure that all key fields have been filled in (both in your template as well as in your source data). Next, in order to review gifts that are missing key fields, change your Gift Area Settings so that instead of ignoring these records, you process an exception.

If your key fields are all filled in, then also check your settings regarding what to do with "Matched Gifts." In Importacular, this reference to "Matched Gifts" does not refer to the Raiser's Edge Gift Type of Matching Gift, but rather to the data in the Import file matching existing data on a gift record that already exists within Raiser's Edge.  You can include all gifts (regardless of a match) by selecting the "Always import gift to a batch" option.

You can learn more about Gift Area Settings in our User Guide.

If the key fields are all filled in and the Gift Matching does not resolve your issue, you should also check to ensure that the amount field in your data source is formatted correctly.  See this Knowledgbase article for more information.
