In RE prior to 7.94 only one email address type was allowed on an address.
From RE 7.94 phones and emails were split from addresses and any number of the same type of email address were allowed on the constituent. One consequence of this is that when running a query and using a specific phone type in the output you will not necessarily get the primary. This is a problem when you want to push your data out to MailChimp with Chimpegration as you will definitely want to use the primary email address.
The solution is to use an export and not a query in order to export data to Mailchimp. As part of the export you should set up your phone criteria as shown below. This will ensure that the primary will be the first email address to be exported. (If there is no primary email address defined then the next email address found will be used).
